Magics BluBelladonna

After making the decision to purchase my first horse, I knew there was no need to look further than Black Forest Farm. When foals were born in the spring of 2007, I fell in love with a bald-faced black filly out of Jade (Believe I Can Do) and Magic, who I soon named Bella. She has been nothing but pure sweetness from the day she was born, and is known as the "Princess of the West Pasture" by everyone at the farm. Not only is she gorgeous, but her temperament is incredible. As a weanling, nothing bothers her and she loves all of the attention she gets. I look forward to learning with her as she grows and develops and am confidant she will become an incredible riding partner.

The support I have received from Marlene and the staff at Black Forest Farm throughout the entire process has been nothing short of incredible.

As a first-time horse owner, I had a lot of questions (and still do).

Everyone has gone out of their way to support me and answer my never-ending questions the entire time. The support from Marlene continues today, and it is obvious that her top priority is to ensure that the horses get the best possible home, and that they are matched up with people who will treat them as part of their family. I'm grateful to Black Forest Farm to providing such an incredible herd of horses and supportive people to make purchasing my first horse such a fantastic experience, and am confidant that I will be expanding my family with more horses from the farm in the future.

Sterling Majesty
Classy Porsche Magic
Phantom of the Morn

I purchased one horse from Black Forest Farm in the summer of 2004. The selection of horses was great and I found just what I was looking for. Not only did I get a fantastic horse but I also got so much support from the staff to help me expand my knowledge and ensure a happy, healthy life for Sterling Majesty.

I think you'll notice from this picture that there is more than one horse! I was so happy with my boy and with the ease and professionalism of the purchase that when my husband and I moved to Nevada, he decided we should take another horse with us. But we just couldn't decide between Classy Porsche Magic and Phantom of the Morn, so we brought them both! We're so glad we did. They have truly enriched our lives.

We're thoroughly impressed with how easy our horses have been to train--halter breaking, ground work, trailering, trail riding, and more! And they are so friendly, very easy going, and enjoy interacting with people. Can't say enough good things about our experience. These pictures are of the horses running and playing together at our home in Gardnerville, NV.

Thank you Marlene for working so hard to bring us together with the perfect family companions! If you would like more information on our horses and our experience with Black Forest Farm, just send us a message at hturbeville@twelvehorses.com.

I'll Impress You

In regards to the 2005 Appaloosa colt sired by I'm Magic. So far we have shown him 2x to 6 different judges and he has won blue ribbons under all 6. He currently holds 5 open halter points, and 7 1/2 points in Most Colorful at the age of less than 4 months. The colt's name is "I'll Impress You", and we affectionately call him Ozzie.  He's a great colt with a pretty head and neck, and a great hip...and needless to say, plenty of color.

He is such a special baby, that we all love him, and he certainly attracts a lot of attention.  We recently returned from a show in Spokane, Washington with the colt, where he did extremely well, bringing home 8 firsts.

"I fell in love with Lunar Eclipse at Dawn (Eclipse) when he was only 10 minutes old and as it turns out, I picked a good one. Eclipse has always been very laid back and easy to work with. Nothing really seems to bother him. He is the first horse I have ever trained and if all horses were as easy to train as he was, professional trainers wouldn't have a job. He never offered to buck, rear, or anything. He was just broke the first time I got on him. He got grand champion at his first 4-H show in Hunter under saddle as a two year old. He has a natural low head set and effortless movement. If you are in the market for a new horse I highly recommend taking a look at Black Forest Farm."

"The attached picture is another of IM Magic babies, now 5 yrs old a gelding Sired by IM Magic and a mare named April of Del Stevens Ranch in Star Idaho prior to IM Magic being sold. The picture is of him as a 3 yr old... I'm his owner and he is an excellent horse , well mannered but very athletic.

"I have people who stop on the side of the hi-way just to watch MAGIC in the pasture, that's how stunning a horse he is to look at."

Three Irons Onyx

2001 Gelding
(Not related to Magic)

I chose this beauty because of his calm temperament and his ability to help me forget I have a physical disability. He has a very friendly disposition and I love to watch him put the younger horses in line as their baby-sitter.

The entire atmosphere at Black Forest Farm is magical. All of the horses are beautiful and friendly. The facilities and surrounding countryside are a wonderful escape from the outside world.

Rainman (Magic Baby)

2005 Colt

I really love this colt. He has such great conformation. He came out looking like a quarter horse. He has the same slick coat his mother has and I think the double cross of Impressive with the cow horses is a "Magic" cross. I can not wait to start showing him. He loves to be scratched and has such a great personality! I look at him with awe everyday. This is by far the best colt this mare has produced. I really think we hit the jackpot breeding her to Magic.
