Katana was special from the day she was born.  Thunder always seems to produce an outstanding foal and Katana is no exception.  A Katana is a Samurai sword known for its strength, beauty and speed.  It is a divine protector.  I didn't know that at the time she was named.  Katana is a super friendly young mare.  She is a smoky black.   As a baby, she would always nicker when people came to the pasture and come up for a pet.  She likes to lick your hands and clothes now.  She has a presence about her that is very quiet and steadfast.   She has a sense of knowing beyond her years in some ways.
