Black Velvet Impress Babies

15.3 Hands    1993 Black Stallion    1200 Pounds

Description

Black Velvet Impress (BV) is a stunning black stallion with no white markings and a gorgeous head you don't see every day. He has beautiful movement with a wonderful extended trot, nice fluid canter, and he can jog with the best of them. He would cross great on pleasure mares and give the eye catching look judges will notice. He is a grandson and great-grandson of Impressive. He is HYPP N/N which means that he does not have it and cannot pass it on. This is also very important to note because AQHA is changing registration rules. His N/N status means you will have no trouble registering foals.

Although BV has a breeding history with Quarter Horses and Paints prior to coming to Black Forest Farm LLC, I have a limited number of pictures to show. His first colt with us is Tucson, born in 2007. His second foal was born in 2008 to Voodoo. I bought him mostly to be able to breed my Magic daughters and as a possible replacement for Magic. Because my Magic mares are homozygous black, foals will be black also. Tucson, like his sire, is all black. BC is not homozygous for black. The color of your foal will depend on the color of the mare.

If you are looking for a black horse, another option is to contract a breeding with BV and one of my black Magic mares. By buying the foal before it is bred, your price is substantially reduced and you are guaranteed black. Your choices of mares would be Voodoo, Calypso, and Moxii. Other possibilities may be Jade and Desiree. Jade is not related to Magic and Desiree is Calypso's daughter - a grand daughter of Magic.

BV is registered as an Incentive Fund stallion.
